SMF Arcade Support + Plugins / Re: Ruffle

Ruffle has the working browser release for download again.
You need 3 files... ruffle.js, ruffle.js.map & XXXXX.wasm (the wasm file has a different scrambled name each release).

Ruffle's web hosted files have been temporarily halted due to coding issues at the source.
The most recent working files are from Sept. 14th.
When those files are available you can update them manually by downloading the package and extracting only the ruffle.js and XXXXX.wasm files. Delete the ones in the arcade arcade_scripts/ruffle directory and replace them with the new ones.
I am going to introduce a way of updating them via arcade maintenance.

QuoteIt's worth noting that the ruffle code is still in the SMF Default index.template.php

You should not have any ruffle.js file inclusion in your SMF main index.template.php file.
The arcade ensures the file is loaded in its game template and having it load twice will cause errors.
Attempt to remove that edit to your main SMF file, clear the browser cache, use the default SMF theme and test it again.

Note: Air Sk8ing currently works on this website.

Do it that way to design your template & css files and then I will help you with adding hooks.

In my templates I use a lot of style elements for the css but using class & a css file is better.
So when you edit the template you may have to take most of the style element css (change to class elements) and transfer it to a css file .

example:
<div style="color: red;">Hello</div>
becomes:
<div class="theme_x_color">Hello</div>
with a css file containing:
.theme_x_color {
  color: red;
}

Always load css files in the header.
So in your php source file you use $context['html_headers'] for that.
Do you know how to do that from perusing SMF files in the past?

No it does not make a difference.
The arcade, its skins & lists work for both versions.

Remember that the arcade has custom hooks for its skins and lists.
You do not need to edit any existing arcade files.

Edit file: /Themes/default/css/portal_shoutbox.css

find:
.shout_box .message_box {
background: #FFFFFF;
overflow:auto;
border: 1px solid #CCC;
}

replace with:
.shout_box .message_box {
overflow:auto;
border: 1px solid #CCC;
}

Try it now.
You'll likely have to clear your browser history first so it loads the updated javascript.
I haven't tested it on IBP Arcade yet but it works on SMF Arcade.

The custom Arcade hooks were introduced 1 year ago.
No one has made any custom skins or lists as of yet.
If you are capable of developing your own then you can use the following info for reference:
https://web-develop.ca/index.php?page=arcade_hook_usage

Another option is to ask for paid help on the SMF mother site. A developer can use that link as reference.

I was not referring to SMF mobile themes although that would be a good idea.
What I meant was that hooks are added via the Arcade installation to allow for custom Arcade skins & lists.

A new RC has been installed on your site.
There is a new setting in your Arcade user profile to disable mobile detection for skins & lists.
It will still use the detection for game play.

Test it out and let me know if I forgot something.

The Arcade has mobile detection and automatically uses the mobile template.
Only one mobile template is available for the arcade although it does allow people to create their own mobile templates using hooks and custom files.

The default mobile template is just a plain white background template.
I left it up to people to design their own templates or perhaps have one made for them by a 3rd party.
The design of the mobile template is geared toward mobile devices up to approx. 12.5 inch.
If you're looking at the tablet in portrait mode it will show like your screenshots.
Turning the tablet to side view (landscape mode) will switch it to two games wide.
If your tablet is large enough to view like a laptop then you will have to use desktop mode on it.

The one thing I can do is to have an option in the arcade itself to switch modes and have it save that option in the user's arcade profile.
Options for mobile view, desktop view or automatic.

Uninstall that theme and upload the new file that is attached to this post.
I figured out exactly what was causing all the white space in the admin and fixed it properly this time.

I installed the latest RC of the Arcade on your website and the flash games appear to be working fine now using that theme.
It has a recent nightly build version of the emulator built in among some other additions and fixes.

Let me know if it's also working for you now.

Oops.. I forgot to change the theme.

I see an error because of something called Highslide.
Is this from a mod or a block?

It appears there is a Highslide mod on the mod site.
Did you by any chance uninstall this mod but perhaps left edits or hooks from it by not properly uninstalling it?
It is trying to use its file(s) but they are not available.

It's working for me and I just saved a score on that linked game.
Did you press the big play button that shows up in the container?

Btw it still uses the Motools plugin  but I updated it and also adjusted the theme's CSS file. It should work good now but I didn't test everything.
