This week you could see the haze from the smoke and it smelled like burning plastic. Wednesday was the worst as it had a bit of a smothering feeling.
Luckily today we have rain so that cleared the air. We haven't had any rain before this for at least a month, maybe longer.

How about the UK?

We need rain here too.

We have been having some fires in places but it looks like it could get worse as we have not had any significant rain for some weeks and this week we're meant to be getting temperatures in the 30+c range.

At least you and the family are safe that a good thing

Been hazy in the Essex County area, sometimes you can smell the fire. Was out the other night and the 3/4 moon was all hazy.

We have been having high temperatures this week and with this comes the rain, been raining off and on for going on three days now.

This is the first year I have really notice the smoke filled air, global warming, and no rain, dry ground, easy fires.

Heard on the news a day ago, these forest fire in Canada are going to burn all summer.

Apparently we in the UK have had the driest and warmest June on record, although rain is now falling in places, we currently have a hose pipe ban as our reserve water levels are so low.

It's been bad off and on here since it started. Not to mention the same is happening in New Jersey for months now and I live in Pennsylvania...
