Quote from: PZ on June 22, 2019, 08:41:14 pmI too have a SMF site and I just got around to updating the Arcade. I'll try to be discrete in posting 4 more posts so as not to be obnoxious or come across as a spammer.

On my outdated arcade, none of the 3 games will post a score. Due to health issues a few years ago, I'm just now catching up.

I really wanted to download a HTML game to see if it would install and actually work.

I'll try to find another discrete place to post. I can't really post an error I'm getting as I have no games to install to see if the updated arcade works on my setup.

Thank you and sorry...

If they will not post scores then they have errors, download new games and install over top of the games..

Here is a place for downloads; http://hopetoseeyousoon.com/Downloads.html ; free too..oh no membership required..

Some of the arcade forums will allow downloads, but most only give maybe 5 limits for games, I wonder myself how they got there games, they don't believe in sharing. I have about 30,000 plus games I got them the hard way..

Here is another place for free downloads: https://feckie.com/Feckies.Forums/ but you have to register, no posts involved just look around for the downloads and the key, because it's password protected, and there are loads of game packs..

Quote from: masodo on March 29, 2019, 01:12:39 pmHello webdev,
I was hoping to download a couple of the new HTML5 games from the arcade to learn more about how these are put together. I run an IBPro compatible arcade with over 200 html5 games and also have an arcade equipped SMF site. I'd like to try my hand at converting some games but find I need to have 5 posts in the boards before I can download - I believe this is post number 3 in my quest ;)

Too bad the required number of posts to download isn't 3 :(

You have your own arcade forum so do I, ronaldsarcade.com, if you belong to other arcade forums why not download html5 games from there. 3dogsaracde has loads of html5 games.
If you want the experience converting, Legionaire or Origon can help you with this..

IPB html5es will also work with the SMF Arcade, I gave Chen some to try out..

Quote from: Chen Zhen on December 04, 2018, 07:47:55 pmAlso there is a permission setting for each membergroup that enables/disables the snowflakes.
The permission setting reads "Disable Snowflakes", meaning if it is checked then it is disabled for that membergroup.

Permissions are set in place..

I explained in their profile under snowflakes they could disable or enable snowflakes..I don't know most of these people use ipads, and tablets, and have more problems than carter has liver pills.

QuoteActually, must be different browsers or "something", I tried it and there isn't any snow on my tablet or using MS Edge or IE11

The above quote is from a member on my other forum, in fact I have two who say it doesn't work for them.

SMF Arcade Support + Plugins / Re: Unable to find parent

Quote from: Chen Zhen on December 02, 2018, 11:56:59 amYou seem to be changing your boards at the moment.
In the arcade admin, disable posting new games until you are satisfied with your board structure.

It is the same problem as before.
You assign a board id in the arcade admin but then delete that board in your forum.
You can't assign an id that no longer exists.

Works like a charm now. Thanks.

The reason for deleting the Board was to get rid of 6 pages of reported games..

SMF you can only delete one post at a time, really bad feature..

Chen still having a big problem..

I can install the Game Packs with no problems. But now when it comes time to install the games I get this message all the time: [Board structure corrupt: unable to find parent board]

What is causing this?

I have another 6 pages of games waiting..

Quote from: Chen Zhen on December 01, 2018, 02:37:12 pmYou have the post games to forum option enabled but set the wrong board id#.
It sounds as though the board id# you chose no longer exists or is not accessible to the user id you chose to post the new games.

Since you gave me temp admin access, I took a brief look at it.
At the moment I do not have time to look further but the board id# you set is 12 yet your Arcade board id# is 13.
I set it to 13 but I did not look at user #2 permission access.

Thanks for the fix.

User #2 is myself, permissions same as Admin .

I will install some games see what happens.

Chen neither #1 or #2 can install ant games, when trying to download games I get a red circle with a line thought it..

Chen when you hace a chance maybe you can check this out .

Thanks.

Ron..

I have 6 pages of games I am trying to install. I keep getting this message: [Board structure corrupt: unable to find parent board] How do I correct this..

I had to remove these pages to install other games, but I keep getting this message on other installs..

I am running: SMF Arcade 2.56.12-beta2  on a SMF 2.0.15 forum.

Quote from: Chen Zhen on April 04, 2018, 06:26:12 pmPerhaps the issue was because you backed out in the middle of installing multiple game files and attempted to install them twice.
I suppose I didn't test that scenario so it's good in a way that you discovered a problem when doing that.

What I will do is use javascript to intently rewrite the browser history in the game installer so it goes back to a specific part of the arcade admin when the back button is used during that process. That should stop it from producing that behavior.

If you want to grant me admin access again I should be able to fix things up.
Either send me another PM or change your p/w to the one you PM'ed me before.

Thanks.

Sure go for it Chen, everything is the same..but I will pm you again anyways.

Thanks

Ron.
